A Writer’s San Francisco

October 28, 2009 By Zara Raab

I turned 60 this year, so my story will not be of interest to everyone! I began writing poems and stories when I was a girl and then at Mills College in the late 60’s. In the 80s and 90s, I was derailed from this path. THIS blog is my record of reclaiming my vocation for myself even at this advanced stage of life. I am doing it, and have been, day by day, since the middle of the decade. This is not about winning prizes or making best sellers. It is about the dignity of honing my craft and of sharing my words within community of writers, artists and readers. I hope one or two will join me.
